SADCAS Accredits Centre for Infectious Di

The Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) is the 24th medical laboratory and the 1st in Zambia to be accredited under the SADCAS Medical Laboratories Accreditation Scheme. The CIDRZ has been accredited in 6 test methods covering three (3) scopes: Serology; Virology; and Hematology in accordance with ISO 15189.  Through this accreditation, the CIDRZ based at Plot Number 23, Off Alick Mkhata Road, Kalingalinga, Ministry of Health, Clinic Ground, in Lusaka has been granted the unique accreditation number: MED 024; indicating that the CIDRZ is now a SADCAS accredited medical laboratory. The accreditation certificate which was issued on 5 July 2018 is valid for 5 years until 4 July 2023.
