SADCAS Accredits Pangolim, Lda-Calibration Laboratory in Angola

On 16 February 2026, SADCAS officially handed over an accreditation certificate to Pangolim Lda, the first calibration laboratory in Angola to achieve this milestone. Pangolim Lda provides calibration services for pressure, electrical, volume, and mass equipment, serving primarily the petroleum sector.

This achievement marks the culmination of a rigorous one‑year process, reflecting the dedication and hardwork the of Pangolim’s team. The ceremony was attended by a SADCAS delegation led by SADCAS Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ms. Eve Christine Gadzikwa and Assessor Portuguese- Mr. Sergio Machava. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Angola, through INIQ, National Institute for Health Research (INIS and private sector representatives.

Ms Gadzikwa highlighted that accreditation was important in facilitating global trade and enhancing the quality of services provided by facilities. She emphasised that SADCAS evaluates processes, protocols, risk management, indicators and the institution's ability to maintain high quality standards over time.

In celebration of their accreditation status, a representative from Pangolim, highlighted that Pangolim Lda, is a totally Angolan company, which provides services in the oil sector and beyond. And being the first calibration laboratory in Angola to be accredited in the calibration area, demonstrated the hardwork and dedication of the entire team in achieving excellence. 

During the visit, the SADCAS delegation visited the National Institute for Health Research of Angola and the General Pedro Maria Tonha "Pedalé" Hospital Complex, open in September 2025 in Luanda. The facility is a tertiary level and high complexity health unit, focused on the treatment chronic illnesses . With 144 beds and state-of-the-art technology, it functions as a teaching hospital and a reference in Angola's public health system
